Hannah's Coven? No, that's not right. Janet's Dozen? Vanna's Somethin'?

And I made it.  Less than 24 hours before our next dining adventure, I have posted my review of last month's dinner, and avoided yet another round of appetizer's on me (actually, on me and Sara, since we share a checking account... sucker).

However, it has been a month since the dinner, and I have forgotten what I ate, if it was good, and where it was for that matter. So...

Hold on.  Idea! I am going to go back and look at the previous posts to see where we ate, and whether it was good.  Be right back...

Anna's Oven!  I was way off.  Well, according to the other reviewers it was very good.  There was wine and food.  Mom had rotisserie chicken, and I imagine if I had eaten some, it would have been awesome.  Probably would have been the best chicken I ever had that didn't come out of Grandpa's smoker. Sara had vegetarian lasagna, which I would have probably loved if I tried it. It would have been so good, I could have gone back for seconds or thirds.  I probably would have been wowed by the homemade, super-thin noodles.  But it isn't like me to eat other people's food, so it's doubtful that I tried either of those things.

But, what did I have?  I am going to play it safe and say I had something not too crazy, something like macaroni and cheese.  It was probably good - creamy and tasty - but not as good as Sara's lasagna or Mom's chicken.  Would I order it again?  Not likely - hypothetically, of course.  But, that's what I get for presumably ordering macaroni and cheese, with rotisserie chicken and lasagna on the menu.  But, oh, how tasty that chicken and lasagna would have been.  And with a little wine, rock!

I hope it was the kind of place that's in a neat neighborhood where I have rarely been, like west 39th street or something, and has a laid back feel, cool art on the wall, and, to top it all off, maybe they donate a share of their profits to charity.  But what are the chances such a place could exist?  A fella can dream, can't he?  If Shannon's Cousin - no, no - Anna's Oven, Anna's Oven, Anna's Oven - if Anna's Oven was like that, I would give it a 4.6.

Buy your own appetizers, haters.  Wiercinski out.

  1. That was a close call, Wiercinski. Our shared bank account and I thank you. (I was looking forward to an excuse to order a few appetizers, however.)
